Inside Sensmi: Johnnie Walker Blue Achieves High Customer Engagement

Johnnie Walker Blue successfully launched a high-impact pop-up activation to showcase its premium whisky range. This engaging experience allowed customers to learn about and sample various leading whisky labels within their brand portfolio. The client sought to understand which whisky types resonated most with their customer base, and here are the results:
By leveraging Sensmi-enabled Nexmosphere RFID technology to trigger dynamic on-screen content upon product interaction, alongside BlueZoo for measuring client traffic, we gained a comprehensive understanding of the Digital Customer Journey.
Sensmi’s Reporting Dashboard, integrated with BlueZoo people counters, provided detailed analytics on foot traffic, opportunities to see (OTS), convergence, and product engagement.
The client successfully measured key metrics for each product: Traffic, OTS, Convergence, and Interactions. Key trends observed include:
- Traffic: 19,296 unique visitors over 30 days (average of 642 per day).
- OTS (Opportunities to See): 15,952, indicating strong visibility of the activation area.
- Convergence (within 0.5m): 3,488, demonstrating an 18% effectiveness in attracting consumers to the interactive zone.
- Engagement: 716 individuals interacted with the products (over 21% of those who approached the activation).
- Product Interactions: 1,797 total interactions, averaging 2.5 products per engaged customer.
- Most Popular Product: Singleton lead with 29% of all interactions.
