Beyond the Screen: Our Highlights from ISE 2026

The dust has officially settled on Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026 in Barcelona, and what an incredible week it was! Stationed at the Nexmosphere stand (Booth 4J400), we had the pleasure of reconnecting with our partners, distributors, and long-time customers, while meeting an inspiring wave of new faces eager to redefine the retail experience.
The energy in Spain confirmed a clear shift: the industry is moving away from “screens on walls” toward intelligent environments that react to human presence.
Where Physical Meets Digital: The Demos

We didn’t talk about the future; we showed it. Our interactive demos demonstrated how Sensmi transforms passive viewers into active participants by turning every touch and approach into a data point.

- The Invue Security Stack: Security Meets Intelligence
This demo reached a new technical peak by turning a standard security tether into a high-fidelity data engine.
- The Integration: We connected Invue Mobile Security cradles to the new Nexmosphere Invue Hub. When a customer picks up a phone or tablet, Invue cradle acts as the “physical trigger,” sending an instant signal through the Hub to both the CMS for content playback and to Sensmi for visualisation.
- LiDAR Precision: An XQ LiDAR sensor tracked the customer’s approach within a 180°, 2D virtual detection zone.
- Sensmi Insights: For the first time, we could visualise “Time in Hand” (exactly how long they tested the device) versus “Approach” (how quickly they moved from browsing to interacting).

- The T-Shirt Experience: Invisible Interaction
The apparel display proved that you don’t need buttons or visible sensors to create retail “magic.”
- Mapping the Display: We used an X-L series LiDAR sensor to create a virtual detection surface across the shelves. We configured 6 distinct activation zones (though 24 are possible) mapped to specific t-shirt styles.
- Real-Time Response: As a customer reached for a shirt, the LiDAR detected their hand entering the zone and sent an API message to trigger relevant digital content instantly.
- Multi-User Tracking: Unlike basic PIR sensors, the LiDAR tracked multiple customers simultaneously, ensuring no “reach” went unrecorded, even in the crowded ISE environment.

- The Beauty “Lift and Learn”: Personalised Guidance
The beauty ecosystem showcased a layered journey that moved a shopper from “passing by” to “purchasing.”
- Proximity to Action: An X-Eye Presence sensor detected movement as a customer approached, immediately shifting the screen from a generic loop to a “Call to Action.”
- RFID Intelligence: Each product was fitted with an RFID tag. Lifting a bottle from its XR-series antenna triggered specific product tutorials or ingredient lists.
- Advanced Comparison: When a customer picked up two products simultaneously, the system recognised both RFID tags and shifted the screen to a side-by-side comparison view – helping them choose the right shade or skin benefit on the spot.
NEO: The Building Block for Green Signage

One of the biggest talking points this year was the NEO series. It’s not just hardware; it’s a foundational “building block” for sustainable, green signage. NEO acts as a master power management device that measures and controls every component in your digital signage installation.
- Smart Power Control: NEO allows for remote scheduling and sensor-based triggers, ensuring displays are only on when they need to be.
- Green Proof: It provides a literal evidence of energy reduction by measuring actual voltage, current, and usage (kWh) per output, helping you meet your 2026 sustainability goals.
- Remote Resilience: By enabling remote power cycling, NEO minimises the need for carbon-heavy on-site technician visits.

Empowered by Sensmi Analytics
While NEO manages the power, Sensmi provides the intelligence that turns raw data into decision-making power. By integrating with NEO via network connectivity (UTP or Wi-Fi), Sensmi offers:
- Real-Time Efficiency Dashboards: Pre-built cloud dashboards visualise your installation’s health and energy consumption in real time.
- Content vs. Power Analysis: Sensmi allows you to compare the actual power costs of different content types – such as 4K vs. HD – to optimise your energy-to-engagement ratio.
- Comprehensive ROI Data: By aggregating interaction data (like product pick-ups) with power usage, Sensmi provides a clear picture of Return on Investment, balancing sales impact directly against energy costs.
- A/B Testing & Optimisation: Use Sensmi’s automated reporting and trend forecasting to test different hardware settings (like screen brightness) or layouts to find the most efficient and engaging setup.
- Scheduled Power Management and Resetting: Scheduling start up timing of devices, as well as the ability to switch power on and off on each power output, provides a powerful tool to manage installations and will decrease “on-site” visits to solve technical issues.
Sensmi: Google Analytics for the Physical Store

All this “magic” is fueled by data. Sensmi’s pre-built online dashboards translate these physical triggers into actionable insights. Whether it’s benchmarking display performance across 1,000 store or conducting A/B testing on physical layouts, we’re giving you the decision-making power to optimise your ROI.
The future of signage isn’t just about what people see – it’s about what they do and what you learn from those actions.
